Some 4 months ago, I decided to import a European vehicle. Being new to the process, and to ensure I was getting the best value, I engaged two European Vehicle Importers to import a car for me. One of them over promised and struggled to show me any cars that were within the specs I asked for. In fact, I was offered more cars which were completely different (SUV versus sedan) that were within spec. It was also obvious that they didn’t have a reliable network of contacts in the UK.

Tim, from Shore Vehicle Solutions, however, diligently put dozens of examples in front of me along with his recommendations. Some way through the process, we changed the model required, year, specs and the budget – wasn’t a problem.

Finally, after 5 or 6 weeks of looking at various cars, Tim put in front of me a car I couldn’t refuse at a price which was sharp to say the least. The decision to buy was easy…paying a significant amount of money to a car dealer for a vehicle where you have seen only photos in a country on the other side of the world…was much harder. I had grown to know Tim over the weeks and, largely because of the frank and honest communication I had received, Imade a decision to trust Tim and the process. Tim kept me updated with the shipping details and the like and then 7 weeks later, a fine piece of German engineering turned up, exceeding every expectation of mine.

The car was perfect in every way, no scratches on the wheels, no paint chips and no rips in the upholstery. All the electrics worked the way they were intended and fine nappa leather gave the car the ‘new car’ smell that can’t be beaten.

Now, I have driven the car for a few weeks…we have already ordered our second car currently on its way from the UK – which I guess is the greatest proof of our satisfaction. Here I am once again, counting down the days till next German masterpiece gets to us!

Without hesitation, I would recommend Tim and his overseas based contacts, who seem to be the best in class, to anyone that is interested in purchasing a European car.
